QR-Based Restaurant Ordering

The client identified a strong market opportunity in an emerging market where restaurants needed a simple, digital ordering experience without mobile apps or paper menus. Customers were expected to scan a QR code, browse the menu, place orders, and request delivery using the restaurant’s in-house delivery team. However, the client lacked product vision, UX expertise, and the ability to translate the idea into a structured, build-ready product. External product design expertise was required to validate the concept and define a clear execution path.

We started with product discovery and market-oriented analysis to clarify the value proposition, core user flows, and operational constraints of restaurants and delivery staff. Based on this, we defined a clear product vision covering customer ordering, restaurant management, and delivery coordination, all optimized for mobile web usage via QR code access.

Our team designed end-to-end user journeys, functional requirements, and non-functional expectations such as performance, availability, and scalability. We delivered UX/UI concepts for customer ordering, menu management, and order tracking, along with recommendations for a lightweight web-based architecture. The outcome included a validated product concept, design system foundations, and technical stack guidance to support rapid MVP development and future scaling.
