Custom CMS and Admin panel for B2C Operations

The client was a large retailer of children’s goods operating a high-traffic B2C platform with multiple internal teams managing content, pricing, catalog data and custom analytics. Their existing admin tools were based on standard solutions that worked well initially but became restrictive as business rules and data relationships grew more complex. A full migration to a new solution was not financially or operationally feasible. The client needed a way to extend their current system while gaining flexibility and long-term scalability.

We began with a detailed analysis of the client’s domain model, content lifecycle, and internal workflows to identify gaps between business needs and the capabilities of standard admin tooling. Based on this analysis, we designed a custom Admin CMS layer that integrated with the existing backend and data sources without requiring a full system rewrite.

The solution included a modular admin architecture with configurable content schemas, dynamic forms, and role-based access controls tailored to different business functions. We implemented API-driven data access to support complex relationships between products, categories, promotions, and localization. Performance, security, and maintainability were addressed through clear separation of concerns, reusable components, and extensible backend services, ensuring the CMS could evolve alongside the business.
