The client was a U.S.-based freight transportation company operating a fleet of over 1,000 trucks across multiple regions. Order assignment and route planning relied heavily on manual coordination, creating operational overhead and delays. Dispatchers lacked real-time visibility into driver location, availability, and vehicle characteristics. As fleet size and order volume grew, the existing approach no longer scaled.
We designed a centralized driver interaction platform that automated core dispatch and assignment workflows. The system continuously tracked driver location and availability, allowing new transportation orders to be matched automatically based on proximity, truck characteristics, and operational constraints.
Drivers received relevant orders through a dedicated interface, with transparent price calculations reflecting distance, vehicle type, and route parameters. The platform synchronized real-time data between drivers and dispatch, reducing manual coordination while preserving operational control. The architecture was designed to handle high concurrency, real-time updates, and future business rule expansions without disrupting live operations.
